Charles was previously married to Lady Diana Spencer, from 1981 to 1996. Diana was the fourth of five children of John Spencer, the 8th Earl Spencer (styled as Viscount Althorp until 1975).
Queen Camilla was born Camilla Rosemary Shand. She married Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973; they divorced in 1995. Charles and Camilla married in 2005.
Camilla's father, Bruce Shand, was a career soldier who served in both world wars. He later took up various business interests, most notably as a partner in a firm of wine merchants in Mayfair. Camilla's paternal grandfather, Philip Morton Shand (known as P. Morton Shand), was a journalist, architecture critic, wine and food writer, entrepreneur and pomologist.
Camilla's mother was Rosalind Maud Shand (née Cubitt), the daughter of Roland Cubitt, 3rd Baron Ashcombe. One of Camilla's great–grandmothers (the mother of her maternal grandmother) was Alice Keppel (née Edmonstone), a mistress of King Edward VII
Judith Keppel, Millionaire winner and Egghead, is Camilla's third cousin. Her great–grandfather was Arnold Keppel, the 8th Earl of Albermarle, whose brother was married to Alice Keppel.
